Hi, I'm Caine.

I’m a final-year Games Development Student with a strong interest in the inner workings of systems. From gameplay systems like combat, skill trees, and inventories, to software architecture, database design, and interactive user interfaces, I enjoy understanding how complex systems are structured and how their individual parts work together.

My aim for every project I create is to learn how a new system works, and how to implement it myself. I treat each project as an opportunity to explore a new area of development, whether it's the save system from Supermarket of the Dead, the gun and AI system from Dall of Cuty, or the inventory system from The Dwelling Afar. A fun, but strange fact about me is that I apparently love sequels. When I was working on this section I realised my top three favourite games are all sequels. With them being Portal 2, Silent Hill 2 and Resident Evil 2.
